We are a group of residents, visitors, healthcare providers, small businesses, and local government who care deeply about the Lakes Area. We believe that safety is everyone’s responsibility as we reopen our communities and businesses to a new way of life. When we act together and embrace all three practices together, we are safer together.
The goal of Lake Country Cares is to help ensure consistent, best practices that place the safety of everyone first as our businesses continue to open. We also encourage our community members to follow the same steps to continue to reduce new cases of COVID-19 in our region.
Businesses who choose to participate in Lake Country Cares will develop individual COVID-19 Preparedness Plans in voluntary collaboration with the Crow Wing County Department of Health as directed by the State of Minnesota.
- Personal protective practices (masks, shields, etc.) to prevent virus transmission.
- Social distancing that ensures six feet of separation between people.
- Sanitation and hygiene practices, such as washing hands and surfaces while minimizing contact.
(Individual businesses may have additional requirements related to their licensing or services.)
